@doingfine.x (What if this was falling through the doors or windows of different dollhouses through the viewer’s point of view?) Video by i am lera
My Notes: What if this was falling through the doors or windows of different dollhouses through the viewer’s point of view?
1. grab two sheets of paper: a black one for the frame, a green one to cut out the center
2. film several actions. make sure that by the end of each shot, the green center stays clear
3. select shots you like the most
4. in davinci resolve, use the 3d keyer to remove the green color and make the center transparent
5. stack all clips on top of each other on the timeline and make them the same total length
* timing tip: if your whole video should be 15 seconds – every clip should be 15 seconds too. if each action lasts about 2 seconds like mine, adjust the clips so every new action starts every 2 seconds. all clips live on the timeline at the same time, but the movement you care about appears with a delay
6. open clips in fusion
7. connect every MediaIn to its own ImagePlane3D
8. place all ImagePlane3D nodes into a single Merge3D
9. add a Camera3D and connect it to the same Merge3D
10. connect Merge3D to Renderer3D
11. connect Renderer3D to MediaOut
12. in each ImagePlane3D → Transform section, offset each plane along the Z-axis. use equal spacing between planes (for example, a step of 0.9 like i did). your values may be different depending on scale and framing, so experiment here until the spacing feels right
13. done
