More from “words are birds”, a micro film I assembled from some of my first explorations of shadow puppets on a multiplane in 2019, part of a project I did for a course on Indonesian shadow theater I was taking at Cornell with wonderful prof. Kaja McGowan. My one semester temporary deviation into shadow play is still going. Words are birds has been screened in a few places, including Open Eye Theatre’s Minneapolis puppetry festival this summer.
