Demonstration of Moire patterns and video mixing.. Moire patterns are printed on transparency film and placed under the camera, and mixed in with a plate of liquids under another camera. Moire patterns occur when two different patterns interfere with each other, creating a secondary pattern where the lines intersect.
I currently have high quality Moire Transparency patterns up at LiquidlIghtShop.com (link in bio) along with glass, oils dyes, and other tools). These are printed using a special process that is waterproof and uses thick opaque ink… These are much better than printing at home using an inkjet or laser.
The video mixer is the Roland V1-HD. It has a really good keyer, that is what I allude to when I say ‘punching out the black’. It’s very clean compared to other keyers I’ve seen.. The V2-HD has the same keyer, but with endless encoder knobs, which is a pet peeve of mine, and I don’t like it as much…. We all need limits.
